Youngji Kim  

​PhD Student (2019-2020)

I am a Ph.D. student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
I received a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Korea University. My current research interest includes Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) using vision and machine learning techniques.

Dongmyeong Lee

Dongmyeong Lee is a Master’s student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Seoul National University, Korea. His current research interests include sensor fusion, computer vision, and perception.

Jennifer Humanchuk

Working with Grant.

Jennifer Humanchuk is a Master's student in Robotics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She received her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Humanitarian Engineering from The Ohio State University in Columbus, OH. Her current research interests are in controls and hardware implementation of legged locomotion models.

Peter Wrobel

Peter Wrobel is a Master's student in Robotics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is interested in machine-human collaboration, path-planning, and perception. He hopes one day to be a cyborg.

Yingwen Tan

Yingwen Tan is a Master’s student in Signal & Image Processing and Machine Learning at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She received her Bachelor's Degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, and Electrical and Computer Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. Her current research interests include topological planning and routing algorithm for topological maps.

Jianyang Tang

Jianyang Tang is a Master's student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Applied Engineering Sciences from Michigan State University. His current research interests include object detection, pose estimation, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping(SLAM) and motion planning.

Minzhe Li

​Madhav Achar

Madhav Achar graduated with a Master’s degree in Robotics from the University of Michigan in 2020. His technical interests include working with people across all levels of the stack (perception, planning, and control) to design and implement robotic systems. He works at Quantum Signal AI as a robotics engineer.

Kaustav Chakraborty

Master's Student (2019-2020)

Worked with Bruce.

Kaustav graduated with a Master's Degree in Robotics from the University of Michigan in 2020, and a Bachelor's in Technology in Mechanical Engineering in 2018 from VIT University. His research lies in the interaction of robots and their environment to help them perceive and autonomously navigate through unstructured terrains. At the Biped Lab, he had worked on object detection and pose estimation using deep learning on LiDARs as a part of the perception team. He will be joining the University of Southern California for his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Fall 2020.
