Lu Gan

PhD Student

Lu Gan is a Ph.D. candidate in Michigan Robotics, working with Professor Ryan Eustice and Professor Jessy Grizzle on robotic perception. She received her B.S. degree from University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, and M.S. degree from Beihang University, China. Her research interests include computer vision and machine learning. Specifically, She focuses on semantic simultaneous localization and mapping for legged and mobile robots.

Ray Zhang

PhD Student

Ray Zhang is a Ph.D. student in Robotics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Master's degrees in Mathematics as well as Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Michigan in 2018. His current research interests are in State Estimation and Mapping (SLAM) for bipedal robots.

Tzu-Yuan (Justin) Lin

PhD Student

Tzu-Yuan (Justin) is a PhD student in the Robotics program at the University of Michigan. He received his Master’s degree in Robotics from the University of Michigan and his Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from National Taiwan University. His current research interests include 3D geometric and semantic understanding, localization and mapping, and computer vision.

Chien Erh (Cynthia) Lin is a PhD student in the Robotics program at the University of Michigan. Her current research interests include point cloud registration, SLAM, and perception for robotics.
