Youngji Kim  

​PhD Student (2019-2020)

I am a Ph.D. student in Civil and Environmental Engineering at Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).
I received a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from Korea University. My current research interest includes Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) using vision and machine learning techniques.

Dianhao Chen

​Master's Student (2020-Current)

Dianhao Chen is a Master's student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Automation from Beijing Institute of Technology, China. His current research interests include controls and experiments for bipedal locomotion.

​Isabel Taylor

​Master's Student (2020-Current)

Isabel is a Master's student in Electrical and Computer Engineering and she graduated in 2019 with a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering both at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Her current research interests include control theory, mapping, and image processing algorithms.

Xu Shang

Xu Shang is a Master's student in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. His current research interests include controls and comparison between Simulation & Experiments for bipedal locomotion.

Shoutian Wang

​Master's Student (2020-2021)

Shoutian Wang is a Master's student in the Robotics track of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Automation from Beijing Institute of Technology, China. His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping(SLAM), and artificial intelligence. He is interested and enthusiastic to fix any problems encountered in research.

Chenxi Feng

Chenxi Feng is a Master's student at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is currently working on the perception system of Cassie Blue. His research interests include Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) and motion planning.

Santoshi Kulkarni

​Master's Student (2020)

Santoshi Kulkarni is a Master's student in Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering from PES University, India. Her current research interests include trajectory optimization for the sit-to-stand motion of exoskeleton.

​Madhav Achar

​Master's Student (2019-2020)

Madhav Achar graduated with a Master’s degree in Robotics from the University of Michigan in 2020. His technical interests include working with people across all levels of the stack (perception, planning, and control) to design and implement robotic systems. He works at Quantum Signal AI as a robotics engineer.

Kaustav Chakraborty

Master's Student (2019-2020)

Kaustav graduated with a Master's Degree in Robotics from the University of Michigan in 2020, and a Bachelor's in Technology in Mechanical Engineering in 2018 from VIT University. His research lies in the interaction of robots and their environment to help them perceive and autonomously navigate through unstructured terrains. At the Biped Lab, he had worked on object detection and pose estimation using deep learning on LiDARs as a part of the perception team. He will be joining the University of Southern California for his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Fall 2020.
